Buncho Daikokutei (大黒亭 文鳥, Daikokutei Bunchō) was the master of Bunko.
Appearance[]
Buncho's full appearance in the anime.
Buncho has purple hair and golden eyes. His appearance seems average, and he wears a kimono and haori.
Personality[]
Buncho is a passionate rakugoka. But throughout his childhood, he resents humans for destroying the shrines, despite being one, when he is shown punching an industrial revolutionist for insulting superstitious creatures. Even so, he cared for his friend Utaroku when defending him from bullies. Buncho cared for Bunko after finding her injured and took her under his wing.
History[]
Ever since childhood, Buncho hated humans for destroying the shrines. He always protected his friend Utaroku from those picking on him. He grew up becoming a rakugoka.

Bunko was Buncho's apprentice. He found her covered in wounds and took her in.
Utaroku Ebisuya[]
Utaroku was Buncho's friend who worked alongside him. Buncho protected Utaroku from people picking on him when they're young.
Byakudanji Tsubaki[]
Byakudanji is Buncho's son.
Enshi Kirino[]
Enshi was Buncho's admirer.
